Mother Teresa Trust; about the trust and its uses
The Order of the Missionaries of Charity is a Mother Teresa organization, which had been established by Saint Teresa in the 1950s. Although she was canonized in 2016, people continue to refer to her as Mother instead of Saint Teresa, due to the sentiment and love attached to the former name. The MOC is run by donations which the sisters receive from various individuals and organizations. These funds are used efficiently to help the sick, poor, orphaned, and abandoned. Aside from these, donations also contribute to the smooth functioning of the overall organization and help in undertaking new projects, managing the staff, and providing basic medical facilities for those living in homes and hospices.
