Saint Teresa of Calcutta founded the Order of the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, a roman catholic congregation formed in 1950. The main headquarters of the MOC is located in the Taltala area of Kolkata, India and there are numerous branches spread out in different parts of the country.   This catholic congregation has been built on a set of strong foundational values and beliefs, to serve the ‘poorest of the poor’ was the motto of Mother Teresa and the members follow the same. The MOC has a mission, which is to love and serve the poor, sick, needy, dying, underprivileged, and destitute. While the Missionaries of Charity do not have a fixed roadmap for their future endeavors, certain future developments may be predicted based on their services. The Missionaries of Charity is an organization founded by Mother Teresa in 1950. It was run by her along with a small group of sisters, they all had dedicated their lives to selflessly serving the poor, abandoned, lonely, unwanted, and dying, and their legacy is still being carried on.
