The Missionaries of Charity is an organization founded by Mother Teresa in 1950. It was run by her along with a small group of sisters, they all had dedicated their lives to selflessly serving the poor, abandoned, lonely, unwanted, and dying, and their legacy is still being carried on.

The colony of houses provided much-needed medical care and facilities to the inhabitants, along with general healthcare services. Importantly, physiotherapy and rehabilitation facilities were available to help patients regain functionality and mobility in their bodies. Educational facilities and schooling help residents to develop skills and seek employment. The sisters of the Missionaries of Charity also offer spiritual services and help instill a feeling of communion among the people.

Mother Teresa donations are put to efficient use to provide residents with basic amenities such as food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. They are carefully tended to and shown immense compassion and love by the sisters.
