Mother Teresa of Calcutta is a figure of compassion and empathy. Inspired by God’s calling and filled with devotion to serve the poor, she began her work in 1950 and never looked back. The origin of Mother Teresa is Albanian in origin and arrived in Calcutta, India on January 6 1929. She was eighteen then and spent the next 17 years of her life teaching at a Loreto convent.

Mother Teresa’s Organization

  Mother Teresa of Calcutta also known as St. Teresa, founded the Missionaries of Charity in the 1950s. This organization aimed to serve the poor and the marginalized communities.
