Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Mother Teresa also known as St. Teresa, was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on August 26, 1910, in Skopje, Ottoman Empire (now North Macedonia). She led an incredible religious life by following God’s will and selflessly serving the poor and the destitute.
Her early life and vocational call laid the foundation for the great works that she would go on to do, later in her life. Mother Teresa is a prominent figure who brought about immense social change and strived to give respect, dignity, and basic needs to the poor and the needy.
