Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity
The Missionaries of Charity is a renowned and well-established catholic congregation, founded by Mother Teresa as a result of her vocation. With almost 75 selfless services and charity to people, irrespective of their caste, creed, community, and faith, the MOC has today grown remarkably with numerous branches all over the city. Globally, there are about 130 branches of the MOC, some in countries such as Europe, Asia, Africa, and more. In India alone, the Missionaries of Charity have their homes for the children and adults with HIV in more than 27 states and a few Union Territories, along with Hansen's Disease centers (leprosy centers), medical centers, social welfare centers, etc. The strong members of this organization have also contributed immensely to COVID-19 relief efforts and provided medical assistance to numerous in need of it.
