The Missionaries of Charity; a Mother Teresa organization
It was Mother Teresa’s zeal and immense devotion to her mission which encouraged her to establish the Missionaries of Charity. This organization of Mother Teresa served as an important instrument to bring about social change and alleviate the suffering of the underprivileged. It was Mother&charisma and passion that attracted many women who shared the same vision as her and were ready to dedicate themselves to the cause of serving the poor. Numerous branches within the organization facilitate its smooth running and focus on different aspects. One such branch is the Sick and Suffering Co-Workers, which was begun by Mother Teresa in the 1950s. This was done to expand their mission of love and include those who have the zeal and passion to serve but are unable to do so physically.
